Here is where I am staying! Currently, I am at the ever-lovely Croft B&B! It's beautiful! Set back in time, the traditional English home is a very relaxing, comforting residence. It's a brisk walk to the train station, the town centre (downtown), and the school that I'll be teaching.
New Year's Eve I spent time visiting with one of GST program director's family, the head of GST and his wife, and another student teacher who arrived from Washington state. It was a lot of fun. We visited, had snacks, and played guitar hero to the Beatles.
Today (the 1st) I went for a walk to explore. This is a picture of the sidewalk. There are hedges and brick walls lining most of the houses. It's going to be beautiful in the spring! The sidewalks are extremely narrow. There is moss growing on them. Makes for a very pretty stroll. The streets are also extremely narrow! They are two-way streets, so you don't have much room anyways, but then there are cars parallel parked along the road! And everyone is driving on the wrong side! I often feel that my life is in jeopardy when in a car. HAHAHA
This is rather hard to see, but there is English Ivy growing on this hill. The plants here are stunning! Absolutely beautiful! I'm not sure what types they all are, but they add so much to the scenery. I'll take more pictures to show you.
I hope everyone is doing well! Miss you all!
